Everytime i make my bubs milk i have noticed there is always a little brown bits floating in the milk...i thought i wasn't washing the bottles properly so im going crazy scrubbing them!...but its still there!...i do everything to make sure my bubs bottles are clean and steralised...what the hell could it me?x

Is it an electric steam striliser?? If it is you might need to de-scale it. :)

Or it might be your kettle. De-Scale that too ... Depending on where you live will depend on how often this happens. Hard water areas are more prone to limescale. We went to Lincolnshire for a weekend and the water there was so different, always had bits floating in it compared to our water up NORTH

Thanks for replying...

I actually de scaled it today for the first time... I know it should be more frequesnt but i totally forgot...

Now iv de scaled it as stupid as im going to sound but should i notice any difference in my steraliser?...i did it and though...ok now what? :dohh:

I think you are right though xx

Yep i found that and worked out it was when we poured the water out of the kettle and emptied it, all the crap that was built up came out aswell, s clean it then try not to use the water right at the bottom x

Im in yorkshire hun...never thought of that though:dohh:

Thanks guys im going to try all this...theres me thinking im not washing my bottles properly! :hugs:

Still confused with all this de scaling bussiness though?

Just scrub the bugger. I do.

Empty the kettle out completely and scrub the bottom gently with one of them scrubber things with the handle on. Usually loosens the limescale up. Also, don't scrub too hard you'll break the heating element, and unplug it first!

Use vinagar in the kettle, its brill x

Right thats my next mission! Thankyou...im so thick

Now iv de scaled the steam steraliser...is it supposed to look any different?...Because it doesnt?

xx

Sterilizers dont really get that scaly TBH, only done mine once. It's mainly the kettle that does as it boils water a lot. Buy a new one, less hastle

I think you're only supposed to use water thats been boiled once too - if you're not already! :)
