brown discharge at 5weeks help

Hi ladies, im currently 5weeks 1day pregnant, when i woke this morning I've had so brown discharge when i wipe , none on the pad so not really heavy. I rang my early pregnancy unit and they said it common but too early for them to do anything, I've got to ring them back in a week when im 6 weeks if its still happening, so worried, not in pain hoping that's a good thing, any one else hadthis? Thanks x

yes i have ongoing bleeds which started week 5 which were also brown. I have had 4 so far. I was scanned week 6 and they found a hematoma (blood clot) which is causing some issues (increase miscarriage risk), but to cut a long story short, i have to take it easy, no work, no exercise, no walks longer than 30min etc. im also on progesterone passeries twice a day to give the baby the best environment to grow in. also have regular scans every 2 weeks to monitor the size of the hematoma, hoping it is decreasing...
its very stressful.

It sounds exactly like what I had at 6wks. It sent me into a mad panic and went for an early scan where everything was in the right place and we heard the hb! The midwife said it was just implantation bleeding and nothing at all to worry about. I am sure this is what you've got and sending you all the luck in the world xx

Hi, i am going through the same thing just now. I have had two previous M/C so very stressed. i am only 4.5 weeks wiped last night after BM i have been extremely constipated(sorry TMI) and bit of brown discharge but it seems to have syopped today. had an appointment with the midwife who basically said it would be normal but due to my history i just have to see what happens. i am booked in for a scan at 7.5 weeks just hope i can make it till then. taking it easy just now still getting cramps and going to the toilet to wipe every 5 mins!!

yes ive been going to the early preg clinic but nothing really gets done there. its just the same story, we have to wait and see what happens. it gets very frustrating. but so far so good and there is hope

I've still got brown discharge when im wiping , went to a and e tonight as i was worried , they couldn't do anything until im six weeks, im just lay here in bed can't sleep my minds racing, got to wait til Friday till im six weeks and they will scan me, im convinced im losing it or its a chemical, its horrid how they wouldn't even take my blood , im stuck in limbo

I had brown discharge off and on from right before 6 weeks until 9 weeks. I think it's more common then most of us think. Good Luck!

i know its hard but try not to worry to much. i'm 7 weeks tomorrow and from last monday to last friday, i had brown spotting. just as you describe, not enough for a pad but just when you wipe. i really freaked out thinking it was the beginning of another m/c. i called the doc and he said its very common and as long as it doesn't turn red with cramping, it should be okay.

Brown is a good sign it means old blood. If it was bright pink or red and your were in crippling pain then get worried. The fact its not heavy and your not in pain is a good sign. I have it bow and again. Had it yrsterday with cramps which scared me but it stopped within hours. The cramps are just stretching pains lol. Good luck hun x

i had some brown discharge at 6 weeks that lasted for 2 days . . i was freakin' out soo much! :# but, but, butttt ! doctor said itz just left over implantation bleeding. i had a scan at 7 weeks and 1 day, heartbeat was fluttering at 143 bpm and baby was perfectO. - i had also, heard the heartbeat at 10 weeks and 3 days . . . beating at 175 bpm =) !!

there's no need to be worrying about 'old blood' hunnie! x
