Brown discharge at 8 DPO??

I am only 8 DPO, and AF is not expected until between May 31 and June 3rd.

Just had some light brown discharge on my underwear-no cramping or anything.

This has never happened before at this time in my cycle. I will get light brown spotting only hours before the arrival of AF.

Could this be implantation? What else if not that?
