Just curious as to whether bubs is on the right track??

MW suggested that I get my hospital bag ready and this kinda freaked me out...

Is bubs engaging abit sooner than expected or is it ok to have bubs engaging so early on??

Anyone else had bubs starting to engage this early on or am I worrying for nothing??

Never occured to me to ask MW if this was normal I was more shocked to think bubs is on his/her way than anything else!
Better get ma skates on n get nursery sorted!

Thanks in advance girls xx

I dont know if its normal but im slightly jealous
I was going to ask midwife at next appointment when baby should start engaging..as ive seen people around the same time as me and their babies have already started to engage! But i havent had a mention of it..
Interested to see what others experience is..

Have a look at this, hope this helps, but i would get bg ready just incase lol

o you lucky thing.. ds was near fully engaged by 36 weeks this time though im only 2/5 engaged :( x

The head can engage pretty early without that meaning imminent labor, actually I have read this same question alot it seems like alot of ladies on here are engaged early but dont worry it doesnt mean pre-term labor. xx

MW never mentioned being engaged to me at 34wks....will see at 36wk appt next week!

Thank you for this, on there it said baby may start to engage as early as 33-34 wks... but I'm only 31.

Seems as some of you ladies are envious I imagine I should be a happy bunny!

Do u think perhaps the fact I have SPD may have helped bubs engage? As I kno the ligaments etc loosen up...

My baby's head is completely unengaged :( Can't even feel his head! But she thinks he is definately head downwards

That does seem quite early but every baby is different i guess.

My lo is head down but MW dosnt think that he is engaged yet but she thinks i
may have spd due to the pain ive been having.

My friend had spd with her son and he didnt engage to late on in her pregnancy
so not sure if spd makes any difference  xxx

at 32 weeks i was 3/5 engaged which i found quite early..
but im still here at nearly 37 weeks with no baby so i dont believe it really makes that much of a different as most people at 37 weeks have now caught up with me and 3/5 engaged and im still at the same stage-no progress lol.xx

Try not to worry to much hun, with my last 2 pregnancys (16 and 8 yrs ago) both of them were engaged at 32 weeks my son whos 16 was 4 days late and my daughter whos 8 was 3 days late!xx

I had a midwife appointment yesterday and she said baby is head down, slightly in my pelvis already, so starting to get ready to engage I'd imagine but I don't think she's engaged yet. she didn't mention already.

Just out of curiosity - have you found your bump has dropped lower over the last couple of weeks? because I have! And also I can feel movements really low down in my lady bits, like little wiggles and movements, maybe punches. When she moves aswell it causes quite a bit of pressure down in my lady bits/pelvis region. Are you experiencing anything similar?

yes i have been feelin movements low down for a few weeks now as well as quite alot of pressure downstairs! not very comfy at all! in particular when I squat down to pick something up, put the washin in or pet the dog etc.

at my last MW app (at 27wks) she told me bubs was head down and into my pelvis but hadnt mentioned bein engaged at all.

well MW wrote it in my notes (4/5) I would imagine ur MW wud do the same??
