Just within the last week or so my daughter has started soaking through her diapers overnight. We always use the normal and newborn liners at night. Through some googling it seems like a wool cover in the solution. But can you reuse a wool cover multiple nights in a row? Or do I need enough wool covers for as many nights as I go without doing laundry? They're kind of expensive. :(

You can use the same cover for weeks, without washing. Just hang it up to air during the day, and it's ready to go on again the net night.

Wool can be used as backup over a nappy that is already waterproof but, honestly, I don't think BGs are a good night time solution for most babies. They really are only a day nappy, especially if you're only using the inserts they come with. I would, instead, look at replacing the BG with a more absorbent nappy (any bamboo fitted nappy, even a day one, would be more absorbent than a BG really), but fitted night nappies would last you longer. You can use wool over a fitted nappy and it will allow the wool to really work for you - letting some wee evaporate off, leaving the nappy free to absorb more. If you're just wanting a cover as backup for a BG, I would just buy a PUL one - much cheaper and would be working in the same way you'd be letting the wool work.
