My 8 1/2 month old twins are crawling and pulling up which leads to falling so many times a day! They bump their heads and hit their face. They cry until they get a cuddle and then off again. They are always on carpet or the foam play mat. Is this ok and normal or am I being a terrible mother?

My LO is exactly the same, the problem is that you can't constantly be bahind them in case they fall, especially with twins!

My DS was black and blue for a few months while he got the hang of cruising and then walking. A lot of his friends were the same so pretty normal.

To date, as well as countless minor bumps and bruises, mine has hit her face on a footstool and cut her palate with her teeth, broken the frenum under her top lip on a coffee table (actually a blessing as she was lip-tied!), fallen flat on her face the first time she walked alone on a pavement and grazed a stripe from nose to chin, and she has also dislocated her left elbow.

She's falling a lot less now she is heading for 16 months and has been walking for four months, but she was CONSTANTLY injuring herself up until recently.

Thankfully she doesn't let it get her down and keeps on going. Totally normal at this age and part of learning what your body can do!

My DS does this constantly. Face plants everything. He's stopped crying about it now. I suppose how else are they suppose to learn the correct way to do things unless it hurts when they do it wrong.

Completely normal. Violet went through a phase where she always had bruises on one side of her face. For whatever reason, she almost always hit the same side. She also insisted on walking when we went places in town and fell and hit her face on the sidewalk multiple times when she was just over a year.

Completely normal and never ends, my oldest son is still covered in bruises as he's constantly falling over! :haha: My youngest has take a few tumbles but its all part of the learning process for them, by the time they start moving its impossible to be there all the time to catch them, especially with 2!
