omg i love it lol. im not spending money we dont have as such but i cant help picking my 3 month old daughter clothes. im buying bits in bigger sizes but i keep seeing more and more.

mothercare have a sale so shes got 3 items coming from there.

bluezoo dresses from debenhams are catching my eye so shes got them.

anyone else love buying clothes??

This is part of the reason I would have loved a baby girl - I hate buying boys clothes. The only reason I'm glad our latest baby was another boy was because i knew I'd spend a fortune we don't have buying clothes if we'd have had a girl!

I'm a sucker for adorable rompers and sleepers.

It only gets worse, I'm afraid. :coffee: I keep saying I need to join a support group for buying baby clothes, because I'm clearly addicted. This was my 24m/2t wardrobe purchase! :haha: (She already had a closetful from what relatives have been purchasing and sending... I had to buy more hangers. Seriously, I need help!)

lol they are totally worth it but nn of its going to be well used. i love the next rompers and stuff.

i even have to buy pretty vests.

thats a good collection!!

I don't have the money to really go clothes shopping. Luckily I saved Violet's baby clothes for Leo and toddlers grow much slower than babies!

This baby literally has three sleepsuits and one little outfit of her own! Everything else is a hand-me-down from big sister! But i did buy a ridiculous amount of clothes for the older one, so most of the clothes are like new!

I like to buy bundles on eBay, it's pretty cheap and they're in the clothes for such a small amount of time that they're in such good condition.

I love buying my boys clothes, there is definitely less choice than girls clothes but I enjoy looking in different shops for cool stuff for them. I am quite picky, I like them to be comfortable and don't like loads of character stuff so it can be a challenge sometimes but they both have some lovely summer stuff that I can't wait to see them in.

DS2 is still so little that he's in sleepsuits most of the time as its just easier so I have plainer sleepsuits for the evening and nicer ones for daytime lol.

We were told we were having a girl at first with DS2 and I thought it would be really exciting buying girls clothes but I got bored quite quickly, it all seemed to be pink and flowery and all pretty much the same.

I have an addiction...I love shopping for my baby girl! I don't like too much pink - a little is ok, but ONLY a little...and I hate all the fussy frilly stuff, but there is so much lovely stuff out there even excluding all that. She wears some boys' stuff too, if I see a quirky t-shirt or something. I really need to rein it in for the moment though, as my OMP has stopped and I'm just on SMP til end of June, then nothing til I go back to work in August!

My Mum is just as bad, she is responsible for half of DD's awesome wardrobe, and she knits her loads of beautiful cardigans and dresses as well :cloud9:

Kinda hoping our eventual #2 is also a girl, so we can use all these gorgeous clothes again!

I'm addicted to searching my favourite brands on Ebay. Do it daily. I love Bonton, Waddler, Caramel Baby & Child etc. but they're out of my price range so I trawl Ebay obsessively for affordable items. In fact I have some of DS1s nicest clothes from Ebay, and about 90% of DS2s wardrobe too!

not just me then. i dont like to much pink either. i love prints like fruit or flowers. i do have a few dresses for my girl as she is in a pavlik harness (hopefully out of it next week)

i hope to reuse her stuff to. i know i can always sell it too so its not all bad.

i got her a vest from mothercare just because it had a pineapple on it lol.

i wish i was more sensible about it but i cant even put her in plain sleepsuits.

that said i shop alot in sales!

I loooooove church sales/yard sales/thrift stores for baby and toddler clothes...a few weekends ago, we went to a church rummage sale and they had "fill a grocery paper bag" for 1.00....thats crazy cheap, so of course i did! :haha: it was in a upper middle class/lower upper class area, so 90% of the clothes are childrens' place and gymboree.. my brother has two girls, so they gave us a ton of clothes, but for some reason, the 12 to 18 month range was pretty low in quantity, so thats what ive been concentrating on...and as it turns out, some of that she can wear now, since clothing makers cant decide on a standard size, so she has 2t pajamas from walmart that fit fine, but then a set by carters is ginormous on her...12 mo flare style knit pants are loose around the waist, but 24 mo children's place jeans fit perfect...so this is why i buy lots, and at cheap prices, because even though it SAYS 18 mo, it might fit or might be too big/small depending on who makes it..... crazy!

Laura - I'm going to have such a hard time letting go of her outgrown clothes! We're keeping it all for now in case if/when we have #2 it is a girl, and I'll be keeping my favourite items and all my mum's knitting. But I know I'm going to be so sad about selling/giving away her clothes! Hopefully we can give them to someone we know who will use them well and appreciate them...

What do people do about clothes that have been gifted when they are outgrown? E.g. my parents have bought her LOADS, and SIL has bought her some bits and bobs too, plus people from work have given her things. It'd feel weird to sell/give away those I think...but in some sizes it's like half her wardrobe!

I have a friend that just had a little girl super early, and i had a lot of clothing that our little girl hadn't even had a chance to wear before she grew out of it, so i made up a huge basket with new stuff and a bag with gently used items and gave it to her for her shower, gave her a overflowing box full, but i still have tons of clothes (she will be our only baby) so im hoping that two other friends that are having babies are having girls also! :haha: if not, ill probably hang on to them for a little while until someone is, or donate them to a nonprofit thrift store (there are resale places in our area, but they give next to nothing for clothes)

I've never come across anyone who had a problem with passing on or selling outfits that they had bought the baby. I like to take pics of them in an outfit ssomeone bought them and send them a thank you card with the pic, my aunt loves getting pics of them :)

For the first time today I went shopping for some 0-3 outfits and didn't find anything I really liked!

I finally got to buy clothes for my lg once she hit 9 months! We were so lucky to get a full wardrobe up until then. It's nice picking things I like at last. I'm not a big fan of pink either and that's what most people bought. I bought some boys clothes for her too as I think dinosaurs are cute and if we have another and it's a boy he can wear them too. Some things she wore literally once.

I've been learning to sew so I can make LO dresses and tops with robots etc... On them but I keep getting drawn to girly patterns with purple elephants for example lol

I know a few people (MIL) who would be seriously offended if we passed gifts on but most people wouldn't mind. We're saving ours for future kids then I'll be making a memory blanket and giving the rest away. Though me and hubby are so sentimental about her clothes the blanket will probably be big enough to cover out house!
