Well that's my 34 week appointment past and I had a major barney with the obstetrician! The midwife looked at my scan pic and checked my BP then went out to fetch the doctor. She returned 5 mins later saying ok doctor doesn't need to see you we'll just book your section for 39weeks.
I'm afraid I almost exploded! I demanded to see the doctor myself as I had about a million questions.
To cut a long story short one of the registars came in and admitted that they had failed to notice in my notes that I had been admitted Friday night with threatened labour and pain at the site of my previous sections. The upshot of all this is they've decided to see me again in 2 weeks just to check I don't get torn in half and that they will deliver at 38 weeks as I seemed a little anxious about the possibility of going into labour.....A little bloody anxious!!!!!
Sorry ladies I know I'm ranting again but do any of you ever feel they just don't give a shit? They also failed to take any bloods despite the fact I'm already anaemic and I've admitted that I can't tollerate the iron tabs this is sooo much fun this pregnancy!!!!!

:hugs: I'm sorry Suzi. It has to really suck not have a Dr/MW that is more compassionate. Hope all goes well.

Im so sorry you are going through this at this point. I can imagine it must be very frustrating and I would be just as upset! Sadly it happens more than we'd like to believe, feeling more like we are a number than a real live person. There's no excuse really for them to miss the things they have with you. Best wishes and hopes for a trouble free next few weeks for you. :hugs:

Oh Suzi poor you :( hopefully the next few weeks will be a lot easier. It's always good to have rant, makes you feel better :) what date have they booked you in?xx

How frustrating! I'm so sorry--sometimes things just don't make sense :(. Sending positive thoughts your way....please keep us posted on your progress. Hang it there! It won't be long now ;).

Booked in for the 23rd of March, sorted out a lot of it myself today from work! I got one of the docs to take some blood for me and sent it away to check my haemoglobin and phoned the local midwife to book me in for a check and pre-op bloods for the 21st, she was a little surprised I had had to do it myself! I work for the NHS I don't expect them to be this useless, if I treated a patient with as little professionalism I would expect a court summons!!!xxx Thanks girls for listening, ranting made me feel much better! xxx

Only a month to go!!How exciting! That's a shame about all the hassle you have had, totally shocked by that.At least you're on top of things shame you had to see to it all.Take care xx

Hi Suzi. I know exactly what you mean. My midwife at the docs surgery is almost impossible to get hold of. I was told to make an appointment at 28 weeks (last week)....but no appointments available for another 3 weeks! I was beginning to think that because I'm 42 and have already had one baby (9 years ago) they just don't think I'm a priority for any tests. As it happens, I went in for anti-D injection this week at the hospital and the midwife there was quite shocked that I wasn't going to have the 28 week blood tests done until 31 weeks so she did them all for me there and then. The midwives at the hospital have all been fantastic but I dont' rate the community midwives down here so far.

Anyway.......not long now for you.....good luck. I've got 11 weeks to go and it seems like forever.....counting the days! You'll soon have your bundle of joy in yoru arms...how lovely.

Its all getting a wee bit exciting now that I'vegot over my hissy fit! x

My OBs are overly cautious and it's driving me NUTS! I wish they'd find a balance. :)

How exciting to have your c-section scheduled! Mine is the 26th unless I go into labor prior and will attempt a VBAC if all goes well.

Aw Suzi, well Im happy ur feeling better about it by the time I came and read ur post ;) You know, I had a c-sec with my 1st 11 yrs ago, then had 4 Vbac's. Everytime, my braxton hicks I swear my scar feels like its going tosplit open! But, it doesnt. Oviously :) It's the muscles stretching pulling and just plain hurting right across the bottom of my tummy. My last labour, they had to give me a little pitosin cuz my labour was stalling, and my uterus held up. So I know its strong enough, and the pain is just a pain in my a$$. Well, not literally.

I hope that made sence! its about 1am here, Im exhausted, and have had sick kids for over a week now.

I forget what else I was gonna write.

But, I must say,.. I cant believe how fast this is going!! Suzi, Gia, Tracy,. I'm freaking that only next month or 2 we'll have our babies!!!

:hugs:

I can't believe we came so far and I'm pretty sure I'm only sane cos of you girls! Thank you all for being there! xxx
