Il be having my 3rd c section at the end of April, and im quite worried about it.
My first section way emergency, plus id had 30 hrs in labour previous to it, they stitched me up with metal staples, and I had a drain in too (as id had a bleed). After this is I was so so tired I slept for days, and developed a bad bad infection which lasted for 8 weeks after the op.
My 2nd section was lots better, at a different hospital. I had elective, and they delievered my daughter at 39 weeks. They used internal disolvable stitches, gave me pain killers that worked and anti biotics just incase. Only problem I had was my bladder, it didn't want to work, so I had to stay in a few days longer, but over all it was great.
My concern is now I have to go back to the hospital I had my first c section in, as the other one is now only midwife lead . Il get to see the consultant at 20 weeks, and I am going to put my foot down quite firmly about no metal staples, and having anti biotics after, I hope he doesn't try to argue with me.
