C section problems

Hi all x

Since havin my son nearly 2 years ago I've had problems with my c section.

Every time we have some hot weather the area all around my scar becomes very inflamed and sore :0/ x I have to bathe it 2 or 3 times a day to help it.

I must add that my recovery wasn't normal - the site came open 7 days after surgery (the day after my stitches were removed) and I had to have negative wound pressure therapy (which took over 4 months to heal). I don't have your typical scar either - it has a shallow dip in it.

Has anyone suffered similar and can anyone offer advice.

hi its been 2yr 6mth since my last section, and have been left with a pouch which isnt nice..but basically if its hot or i sweat my scar becomes red and itchy and at times can be abit pongy...i know the reason why this happens is because its not nice to say, but the skin under my pouch dosnt get as much air as needed..so obvioulsy it must sweat and therefore causes these reactions..as far as my cs surgery everything went great and i healed very well.hope this helps and i can sympathise with you...what i do is usually after a shower or bath, make sure my scar is dry and put abit of talcum powder on it and its absolutely fine...other people may use antibacterial creams but i dont

Yes that's the same with me!!!!

It has made me über conscious of it :0S x

I bathe n towel dry several times daily but will try the talc solution too x
