Has anyone used the cabbage to help sort things out while breast feeding?

I have been debating it for a week now and am not sure if I should. The website for it says its safe and doesnt affect your supply at all just reduces swelling around the ducts.

My breasts HURT, Im trying to have my LO feed 2-3 times on one breast to make sure shes getting the good milk out but my breasts are relentless and are so full of milk and hurt. I pump a bit but I dont want my breasts to get used to the extra flow thinking they need to keep producing.

Wouldnt be as bad if I had like a C cup but they are DDD now. :brat:

The website I was reading- https://www.lactationconsultant.info/cabbagecure.html

Yes I stuck cabbage leaves in my bra at day 7. The pain eased after that, whether due to that or just getting used to it who knows!

Thanks for replying.

Im almost at 3 weeks. So how long and how much did you do it for?

My health nurse said that they can affect supply but who knows. I used them a couple of times and they were fine but then a friend suggested to me wetting a couple of nappies, popping them in the freezer and using them to ease the pain. Worked a treat! They nappies mold to your shape pretty well and don't make you smell! :D
