Cake makers help me please

Ok so ive decided im going to make ollies first birthday cake LOL i must be having a breakdown cause ive never baked before.

Its gonna bein the shape of a one so i know i bake it ina big square tin and cut it i want to use that thick white icing butxan i have ideas how to make it more colourful please and a detailed list of everything i need.

Also its it possible to buy coloured icing? Like the white thick stuffonly coloured?

I really have no idea but i want to do this as its special xx

Try the baking thread - lots of hints and tips in there. Also - try YouTube for tutorials on how to do everything you need, it's much easier than trying to follow written instructions.

You can buy coloured icing, or you can colour white icing (icing is called fondant) with food colour gels. Have a look around this website:

To do a spotty cake you'll need to buy a circle cutter or use something else that will give you a uniform shape.
