My partner had seminal analysis results are as follows, can anyone tell me if they are ok please?and if you could tell me what sperm density means and sperm density ejaculate, its all dutch to me,lol

Many thanks

Apperance:Normal

Volume:3mls

PH:8

Sperm density:34

Sperm density ejaculate:102

Motility:62% of which 39% Rapid

13% Slow

10% Non progressive

5% Normal forms

Sperm density is how many per mL- so your husband has 34mil/mL- that's great! They get the total in the ejaculate [102mil] by multiplying the 34mil by how many mLs he had- looks like 3mL [which is also normal]. Motility should be above 50% I believe. Everything looks good to me!

thank you I love cheese,I was a tad woried about the normal forms but because his actual motility is above normal I am not going to worry
many thanks x

Yeah, the forms are low, but there are plenty of things you can do for that. Try zinc/magnesium if he's not on them, folate and l-arganine, l-carnatine, l-tyrosine.

I would say it couldn't hurt for him to go on this stuff and definitely take a multi if he's not. My BF is on so many freaking pills a day- he's got everything wrong BUT his forms.

Your OH results were very similar to my OH last test, 3ml, 29million/ml, 60% motility and 6% normal forms.

It is not optimal, especially the 6% forms, but under the new WHO guidelines, it does put them in the 'normal' range, which means that it might take longer for us to get pregnant, but assuming all is normal with us, should happen within 12 months. Unfortunately for me, my age goes against me (39yo), so our FS still recommended we should do iui or IVF. We've decided to wait 2 months and do a third test (second was much better than 1st), but unless it's gone down again, I think we will just keep trying naturally and hope fate comes our way.
