Hi

My daughter loves thomas tank engine and dinosaurs at the moment. She has plenty of clothes with them on, but they have to come from the boys section. However, I've steered clear of getting her boys pants with these characters on I assumed that they would be uncomfortable for a girl. Am I right in assuming that they would be uncomfortable for her to wear? X

Im not quite sure about that but my mum got my 2 year old sister some knickers to start potty training but didnt end up using them so i use them on my son now and they seem fine enough for him

Am I missing something, I don't get why they would be uncomfortable for a girl but ok for a boy? I have some pants with designs on, but the design is only on the outside so doesn't affect the fabric inside. I think it would be fine?

If anything, the front will a tiny be a bit more roomy :haha: but otherwise I doubt there is a huge difference. :)

My DD has a mix of boys and girls pants. The boys pants she has are just the little briefs, so there's not an extra pouch or anything, which I guess is what you're thinking of that might make them uncomfortable? The only difference seems to be that the pants she has from the girl section are thinner material, but that doesn't bother her :).

My friends daughter had to wear a cast for a while and it was much more comfortable for her to wear boys underwear. She continues to do so as little girls pants all seem to be so tiny and my friend hasn't been able to find any 'girls' ones in the shorts style (not until size age 7). I wouldn't say they are roomier at the front but they definitely seem more comfortable and are far less likely to 'ride' up.

They might be a bit roomier in the front but I can't imagine she would care or even notice at that age.

Sure they can. No peeing through that little slit in the front, though.

My boys wear the shorts style too as I always noticed that the brief style rides up. My OH also does not like briefs either and wears boxer trunks. Id wear them myself if only I could find them in a more feminine style that doesn't come with a front opening lol

Have you tried places like primark? They usually do loads of different underwear styles. I got some gorgeous ones from jack wills for Christmas. Can't tell you how comfy they are though as I was 33 weeks pregnant at the time and they still don't fit my fat PP bum 😂

My boy has started wearing the shorts style - but girls' shorts! He insisted on purple underwear, and the only purple underwear was in the girls' section, so

We recently bought Violet boy's underwear. We wanted to have underwear that was more exciting to wear than the girl stuff she already had. So, we pulled up some pages on Amazon and the cooler ones were boy's underwear and that's what she ended up going with. We actually ordered two sets. One was girl underwear and had pictures of a tea set on it and the other was boys underwear and has monsters on it.

Tori had Cars underpants for a bit, she insisted :haha: tbh they looked comfy!

I don't see why not. At their ages, I'd imagine they aren't that much different in sizes.
