just started giving Sophie a nightime bottle as she seems to settle for longer and i get a few hours kip!

can i put 4 scoops powder in and add 3oz boiled water that has cooled slightly and put in fridge. then when it comes to feeding add 1oz boiled water to warm?? or is this not safe?

what does every1 else do, im confused!!!! x

i think that would be okay... i just use distilled water from a bottle so i don't have to boil. sooo much easier. i put the water in the bottles, then just add the powder when he's ready for a bottle and stick it in the bottle warmer

i have no idea but i m not sure why you would want to? wouldnt it be easier if you are going to boil the kettle anyway just to stand the bottle in a jug of hot water to warm it rather than mess about with powder twice for the one bottle

I always put 7 oz of boiled water in the bottles and let them cool and then I top them up to 9 with 2 oz of fresh boiled water to get them to the right temperature when I need them. I put the powder in at that point, though.

What you are doing with the water is fine.

But as previous poster said- I would just add the powder when ready for the feed - so put the powder and final 1oz boiled water in when LO wants it.

I put freshly boiled water up to around 2-3oz and put in fridge when lo wants a bottle I top it up with boiled water to 6oz then add the powder it takes less time to cool down and don't have to wait 30mins b4 I make the bottle
