I'm probably one of few dudes on here but what better way to find out what's going on with my other half than jumping into a world of women!

We officially "tried" this past week for the first time. Which was probably the coolest week ever by the way. Minus the lack of drinking during a holiday weekend but it's OK, it's worth it :) I joke with her and say I know it worked. We gave it a go 5 times in 8 days. (aforementioned "best week ever") Anyway, after the 2nd day & each day since then she said she felt odd cramps, but isn't sure if she's just analyzing it more than usual. Could this possibly be a sign already or is that way too early? She also got sick. She hasn't been sick in years and she got a cold, mostly soar throat and congestion for about 5 days and even today it's still with her slightly.

We talk about it a lot but she doesn't want to put too much hope or thoughts in to it so we don't let ourselves down if it didn't happen, but I wanted to see what others have experienced or if this is just flat out crazy to think she could be having symptoms this early.

We plan to take a test a little over a week from now. I want her too earlier but she wants to check on our 8 year anniversary. Boy I hope none of my guy friends ever find this...

Thanks!

WAY too early to be seeing any symptoms.

But I love the enthusiasm. I wish my fiance' was like this. :)

It's hard to wait to test but waiting really is better. Seeing a :bfn: because you tested early can be really hard and if it's not necessary to see it I wouldn't.

Good luck! :happydance:

It's much too early to be feeling any symptoms.

Best of luck to you and your wife! :flower:

I developed a cold out of nowhere right before finding out with my first, so I guess ya never know! Good luck!

Yeah, probably too soon but love the involvement and enthusiasm! And willingness to jump into "the world of women"!! lol Good Luck!

It all depends on when she ovulated :) lots of sexy time is awesome but if it's not during the (on average) 5 days a month she can get pregnant it won't be much help (but lots of fun)

What's not so much fun is knowing exactly when it happens as I'm sure ladies can testify, "honey I'm fertile let's do this" is the last thing or guys want to hear :haha: plus women normally feel sick/bloated/sore boobs before their period whether they're pregnant or not :)

Hope that wasn't too much info at once!

Totally agree with this. And I wanted to add - once women start TTC we notice EVERYTHING and I mean, EVERYTHING that is going on with our bodies. Most of the time these are things we experience all the time but never took notice before.

Since she is not temping to confirm ovulation happened I would play on the safe side and try not to symptom spot. Pregnancy symptoms mimic PMS symptoms. They only way to determine what was pregnancy related is after you have a BFP.

Thanks to you both! Yeah, she actually brought that up already that this may be what always happens but now she notices... I started googling everything and found a lot of women say they knew right away, etc. so I was getting excited and so was she but who knows... We DTD (can we make our own codes? lol... "did the dirty") on the "flower day" and twice before and twice after, about 1 1/2 days apart from each other... Pretty exciting stuff :P

Be careful with the Google....I go Google crazy in the TWW every month and sometimes have myself convinced I could be pregnant because some other lady somewhere experienced what I'm going through. And I probably ignored the threads where people say it wasn't a pregnancy sign.

Though I love your enthusiasm....I feel like I should remind you that you only have a 20% chance of pregnancy each cycle. That is saying your wife is ovulating at all. It can take a healthy couple up to a year to conceive.

I really thought getting pregnant was going to be easy, but here we are, going into our 9th cycle. My best advice is to live as normal as a life as possible (including enjoying coffee and a few drinks every once in a while). There isn't really a need to cut everything out of your life that you enjoy on the off chance that you "could" be pregnant.
