Im sure i read this somewhere and now (being a paranoid ftm) im wondering if this is the reason my lo has poor weight gain altho doctors think its a milk allergy as he has bad eczema too!

Is this true? has anyone heard this before?

Apart from weight/eczema are there any other symptoms? X

I don't think so...I have always pre-made bottles and my boys are very healthy. Oldest DS5 years, 2nd 2.5yrs and new LO 6wks.

The wheezing and green poop I would also say that your LO my have a milk protein or lactose intolerance. Have you tried switching to a lactose free formula?

DS3 from about 3wks old was having the wheezing sounding breath, foamy green poops, arching backs, crying etc before I realized that he was sensitive to lactose. Looking back my older two boys were also like this but I never put the clues together and suffered through.

My LO had green poo on powdered formula but has normal poo on ready to feed, so,we only use ready to feed now.

The calories are the same no matter when you make it, so it shouldn't affect weight gain. My guess is there is probably some loss of nutritional value if you make them way, way in advance because there are some vitamins that probably don't stay stable for long periods of time. But my guess is if you're making them and using them within 6-12 hours that shouldn't be an issue. I agree, sounds like it could be an allergy or other digestive issue. Have you tried different brands of formula?
