Can someone please help with my blood test results

Ok I had my cd3 and 21 blood tests done in November and when I phoned for the results there response was "evetythings absolutely fine" so I left it,I've now changed doctors and he printed my results out for me and sent them,but I'm not sure they are fine....


Day 3 fsh 6.1, lh 9.7, progesterone 2.9
day 21 progesterone 2.7, prolactin 171

Apparantly anything less than 9 is normal for Day 3 FSH https://www.advancedfertility.com/day3fsh.htm

Normal LH levels are between 3 and 10 i think https://www.drmalpani.com/lh.htm

Progesterone on day 3 should be low i think but cant find anything for you on that.

Day 21 progesterone should be (UK based) above 30 so medics say.

And I cant seem to find anything about prolactin on day 21 although have found this on the web https://www.drmalpani.com/prolactin.htm

Just becuase your progesterone level is low on day 21 does not neccessarily mean you have not ovulated as your progesterone should be checked 7 days past ovulation and if you ovulate on cd17 etc your porgesterone will have been measured too soon.

What did the new doctor have to say about your results?

I've made an appointment for us to discuss it so not actually heard from him yet,right now I'm quite upset that I got told it was fine when by the look of the day 21 results I hadn't ovulated xx

Im on my 17th month,last month my new doc did some blood tests but they were done on cd15 so he rang and said my lh was elevated so it's suggested pcos but it may have just been during ovulation so told me to wait for my appointment with my fs on 9th august.now I'm thinking it probably is pcos and I'm not ovulating at all,my dh had his sa results which showed low morphology of 9.5%,my chances look like their getting further away right now lol how bout u Hun? Xx

No they are not getting further away darl just seem that way right now.

It could indeed be PCOS but until you get some sensible doctor to talk to you then I guess who knows for sure - have you had an internal scan done?

We are on month 28. I have PCOS, diagnosed in 2001. I had to wait 6 months without an AF before they could refer me to gynae I then had a nightmare at the gynae I had chosen and after a year of not even seeing them I switched hospitals had 2 appoitnments and was prescribed Clomid. Which after 27 months of no AF naturally I got a 'natural' AF after ovualting for the first time in god knows how long on my first round of Clomid.

There are things they can do for PCOS and no ovulation mainly - Clomid and for your hubby there are thigns they can do aswell. Was low morphology the only thing wrong with your hubby's SA?

Yeah everything else was good,so at the time we thought that was the only thing stopping us but at the moment now I've seen my results I think it's more than likely abit of both.I got refered to fs in feb and my first appointment is august 9th so i'm guessing there's gonna be even more waiting just to get a scan and things done.wow hun,u weren't getting af for that long? That mustve been so frustrating.that's why I thought my results mustve been good because apart from 3 months being 36-40 days there normally bang on 28 days.it's all so complicated lol xx

It is but will be all so worth it in the long run if it ever works for me. Most people want AF to stay away when trying to get pregnant I wa sjust desperate to prove I was normal! xxx

think we all want to prove we're normal hun lol I just want august 9th to arrive now so I can know one way or the other xx
