I'm about 24 weeks pregnant and my 2 year old has recently begun nursing more. She also is FINALLY latching properly after a stretch of lazy latching. She's also more insistent on nursing than she was during the lazy latching phase. Is the nipple discharge that happens at this point in pregnancy, actually colostrum or is it something different???

Anyway, when reading over how colostrum is a mild laxative, I began to wonder if this might be causing my 2 year old's messy poops that have happened lately. Between the hours of 5 and 7 this morning, Violet wanted to be attached to my nipple and would wake up if I took her off... very annoying... Then a bit after she got up, she had a mushy poop accident. She has had several other mushy poop accidents recently as well.

Even when she's not doing well with the potty, she tends to make it to the potty for poop. With these poops, she finds it difficult to make it to the potty. We've cleaned out a few pairs of pants and underwear.

I guess what I'm wondering is, could the nursing be causing this mushy poop?
