So right after I had Cora I have been getting the Depo shot. A lot of people have told me that when you get the shot you stop having a period and I haven't had one since Cora was born. I also wonder though if the pregnancy weight contributed to me not getting a period because although I always had a regular period before having Cora, afterward I was up to 270lbs (230 before falling pregnant) 243lbs now.

This week however I have craved a lot of sweets. I had 3 servings of weight watcher ice cream one day. Also, I have been happy but at the same time I always feel on the verge of crying. I don't know if that makes sense. I'm happy but I want to cry at everything. Before I had Cora I never got weepy during my period. Just slightly irritable. So I have some questions...

Do I weigh enough for my period to stop?
Does everyone not get a period on the Depo shot?
Can you still get PMS if you don't actually get a period?
Can the type of PMS you get change after having a baby?

Thanks ladies.

I don't think weight matters hun as the hormones you have naturally in your body vary person to person and everyone will have a different reaction basically to any form of hormonal birth control

No, my friend got her period every month right on time with her Depo shot

Well, it wouldn't technically be PMS but symptoms like what you have when you get PMS are common on the Depo shot.

Yeah, I found mine is a lot worse since having Elyse, not sure if it's my hormones that have changed or if I'm just even more grouchy in general and extra grouchy when/if I've had PMS
