As you know I can have a scan everyday if I want due to my history. Ive decided to cancel all of them until 12 weeks and let mother nature take its course ie lose it or grow.

Ive lost some of my symptoms, MS is now very slight, boobs are sore only at night, I know this can happen about 9 weeks while hormones settle down but its still worrying.

Im still experiencing this dirty discharge but its only very very slight. Midwife thinks I may have a weak cervix due to all the D&C and ERPC i have had (ive had 5 over the last few years)

I am physically ok but mentally am avoiding all necessary contact with EPU. Just wondered if you think I am doing the right think.

Only you can decide what is rght for you, if you're happier just waiting til 12 weeks do it that way! I can understand where you're coming from. Hope you have a H&H 9 months :hugs:

After having an early scan yesterday, I wish I hadn't. I am worrying because we couldn't see a heartbeat but I was only 6+2 and lots of people say they didn't see one until a week later. I am sure the worry is worse than the waiting for a scan at a later date. I can completely understand why you would want to wait until 12 weeks.

I hope when you get to the end of your first tri everything is perfect.

I think you are very strong sweetheart and you will make the right decision for you. I found trips to the EPU much, much more stressful than waiting and I really can emphasise. Sending love to you and beanie and loads of :dust:

What a brave decision but I think its the think one, no amount of scans will change the outcome, what will be will be, stay positive and enjoy your pregnancy, cant wait to hear all about you 12 week scan.xxx

Wow I admire you for your decision. I am afraid tomorrow I'll wish I've waited with my 6 weeks+ scan myself especially if there's no heartbeat. I am utterly amazed how I was able to exist without all these early scans, hcg tests etc with my first 3 pregnancies, I just didn't think anything could go wrong. Now after my pg losses I live in fear and perhaps it'd be much easier to just not know and worry..but at the same time I can't do it anymore after losing two kids and losing a tube and ovary with my ectopic..At any rate I admire your decision, you'll probably be much better off without the stress, praying for you that all will go well with your pregnancy!!!!!!!!

As others have said, there's no right or wrong, just what feels right to you. I have mixed feelings about scans myself so I think I understand where you're coming from.

The relief I get when everything looks fine seems to last a very short time relative to how long I spend fretting about what the next scan will show, and the wait in the EPU beforehand is agonising.

Keeping everything crossed that your 12wk scan will bring good news
:hugs:

Fluffy hun, you know what's right for you and we're right behind any decision you make. The EPU is not a good place for PMA so I totally understand your thinking. Sending you sticky vibes for the perfect 12-week scan you deserve. xxx

Hi fluffy, hoping that all is well with you.

The early scans are a really personal thing, I went to mine (every 2 weeks til 12 weeks) 'cos I wanted to know right away if things were OK or if there was a problem because I found my MMC (natural mc at 10 weeks, but pregnancy had gone wrong much earlier and found out just before 10 weeks) so physically and emotionally painful.

I didn't have many symptoms at all in this pregnancy until 13-14 weeks.

Fingers crossed for you :hugs:

I think what your doing is amazing, How you are able to think like that is amazing. I had a loss at 6 weeks and I swear if I could have been scanned everyday through my pregnancy with the twins I would have.
I think you sound at peace with your decision so if that is the case then your doing the right thing. I have my fingers and toes crossed for you!!
All the best :hugs:

I think you are very brave..well done you
