Cancer

im not sure how to start this so here it goes. i have a 4year old little boy & FOB has never met him, he was certain from the beginning he didnt want this child. he has never denied him, but has said he will not be involved untill my little boy comes looking for him. today a friend of mine told me he has cancer, ive never tried to contact him before regarding little man but as i dont know how serious the cancer is ect do you think i should contact him for little mans sake. if it was up to me i wouldnt but i dont want to make the choice not to and little man never gets to meet him if he becomes veryyy ill. im torn do i do what i wabt or do whats right for lo & try contact him?

Hi, i sympathise with your situation and i see that your intentions are good, but personally id have to say i think the ball is in his court concerning this.
He knows he has cancer, he knows how bad it is, and he knows he has a son. If he decides to get in contact then that's all good, but if he doesn't nothings changed for him.... And atleast you and your son won't feel like he has rejected contact twice.
He made the decision not to be in his sons life, let him be a man and ask for a second chance if that's what he wants. Just my opinion.

Wow big shock! I would more rooting around and try to find out just how bad it is. If it's serious and terminal, then I probaby would contact him. Your little man may want to know what his dad looked like etc, and even though hes a twat and hasn't bothered, it would still be quite nice for there to be a photo available fr your son of the two of them together if he wanted one when he's older xx
