hi

the title kinda tells it's own story really... i have problems with making it stay where it's meant to be... i get it up behind the pubic bone as per instructions but then it slips down as soon as i move and kind of hangs half in half out... i know way to much information. but i'm at the practice stage and i'm ovulating very soon and would like to use the soft cup

has anyone got any suggestions?

xxxx

I recall there was a video of a galss tube someone used on youtube to deminstrate how to insert them properly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2drNCv9ac1I
A suggestion I was given was to use them with your flow, so you KNOW that it's in the right position (as it won't leak) BEFORE you attempt to use them for fertility.

I also found that laying down whilst putting it in helps xxx

i used the instead cups - 1st time i was laying down with knees up and i couldnt get it in. I stopped using them as thought it was too complicated. Then a few months ago i thought id give it another go - i read the instructions carefully and it said the best way to get it in is if you are sitting on the toilet as your canal and cervix is tilted the right way. And basically you squeeze it together and slide it in and down - it should then rest behind the pubic bone. It worked great the 2nd time and 3rd time.

Hope that helps.

Humm, I did not find the video very helpful, personally, but thank you for posting it as the visual is good!

OK, I fold it twice, personally. I fold it once in half (so squashed in the middle like the video) then I fold it again, so that it's even smaller. I put it up as far as I can, try to get it about right and then let go. It's an odd sensation but not painful at all. I then use my finger tips to pull it down into place a bit, to get the placement right.

WARNING: TMI!
I would defiantly work on this before BD with some lubricant inside you, so you get used to keeping as much 'in' as possible.

Best of luck!

this is all very helpful! thank you! although i am using the small size it still is not helping... it just wont stay there, i don't think i am getting it looped round the back of the cervix. i might try with the lube again but i might fold it twice the same as 2dogs1cat did. will see what happens. tight now my cervix is low and open so will have to hope for the best! yes i am ovulating either today or tomorrow, but hubby not home till tomorrow... :/

thank you for all the advice!
xx

I put them in quite easily laying down on the bed. I squeezed it together like in the video and pushed it in. You can tell if its hooked behind the crevix by gently pulling on it and it wont move.
Make sure that you angle into the small of your back and then up and you should get it behind the cervix that way. I couldnt get on with puting it in when squatting, personally.

Good luck x
