Can't quite believe what I have just been told.

Spoke to my husband today as I need answers and he has told me that there never was another woman - he made the whole thing up as he wanted to leave me and for some crazy reason he thought I would accept it more if I thought there was someone else involved? Still can't get my head round this as last night he named the mystery woman and today he says she doesn't exist. My head is totally screwed now.

Hmmmm...I'd be wary of everything he says at this point...and write all of his stories down.

I agree.. Why on earth would he think someone would take it better if he cheated than if he just left?? I think he is messing with your head hun..

My ex husband also told me something along the same lines, first he was saying he was seeing another woman for 6 months the next it was 3, he thought it would be kinder if I thought it had been going on longer than it had been. IDIOT.

Just be very wary of what he is saying.

You cannot possibly say it's easier to accept your partner cheating than to tell you they want to leave.I think he is backtracking and trying to make himself look like the innocent party. Don't forget that if adultery is cited in the divorce from you, I think?? he has less clout. He may have realised this or spoken to someone who told him he would be worse off in the divorce because he cheated perhaps?
