After not having electric for 4 days, no heating or cooking facilities, losing hundreds of pounds worth of food i was woke up this morning by my neighbour shouting on us from outside. The local river has burst its banks and flooded my neighbours with the water making its way to us. We have sand bags at the door. The lane to our house is completely blocked due to fallen tree and flooding. I have phoned the emergency services who have advised us to sit tight just now. The rain has stopped thankfully. The only way we could get out is over the farmers fields and knowing my luck we would get stuck. So a dvd and baking day for us. No doubt the electric will go again so best make some bread, scones before it does!!
