I'm looking to get the next stage car seat and I'm really struggling!!! I think I've narrowed it down but I'm open to any new ones that you've purchased and loved?! The ones I believe are on my shortlist are:
Joie Stages
Maxi Cosi Two Way Pearl
I want good safety features, including extended rear facing but also forward facing as an option.
Doesn't matter to much about how heavy it is, as will mainly be in my car.
Suitable for a 6 month old(or birth)-4 years or more.
Have a maximum budget of around £200
I will be going into store and getting advice from there too, but trying to gather some real opinions and experience with the facts.
Able to fit in a car(5door fiat punto) with a short seat belt but I think my car has isofix? So I'm not sure if the seat belt matters.
Thank you in advance, it's consuming my brain trying to search for the best car seat for my LO. :flower:

Hi!

Between the 2 of those seats, personally I would go for the 2way pearl, because it's in 2 bits it means it's easy to ove between cars, and it's really compact compared to most ERf seats sofits most cars (though that does mean less legroom). If it had been around I would have bought it, but they weren't out at that stage. I don't think I would go for the stages because it's purely seatbelt fitted (it doesn't have either an anti-roatation support leg or tether straps as far as I'm aware) - not as good safety-wise IMO, plus you have to lift the child over the seatbelt which gets tiresome (at least it did in the britax first class plus we had previously!).

Both my 2 are in ERF seats (Britax TWE and Besafe Izi combi). One thing I'd suggest is to consider getting a 25kg seat from the start to avoid having to buy a different seat at 18kgs. Have a look at the britax maxway (around £225) and if you can stretch to a bit more the axkid mini-kid (around £295 - lovely seat!)

Thanks mumtoeva!
Good pointer about going for a seat that last til 25kg, and the britax maxway looks good but I think the axkid could be pushing our budget:-) they don't seem to be available locally to lool at in store but we are going to take a short journey to look at the britax in another town. Thank you:-)
