Hi My son has just been prescribed carobel for his reflux, he is also on infant gaviscon and ranitadine. we use tt variflow teats is it ok to continue using variflow teats with carobel? id rather not change teats if i dont have to. thanks

I can't see it being an issue. Carobel is a thickener so variflow teats are probably the best option!

vari-flow are recommended for using carobel with so no need to change

brillant thanks ladies. was just wondering if it thickens the milk does that mean ds will take less, he doesnt take alot sometimes.

My LO started taking a little less (1oz or so) when we first started thickening his milk, but he got used to it and now takes at least 7oz per feed.

You may find it will encourage him to take more when it works and he won't be associating his milk with reflux pain anymore

thank you were already on infant gaviscon and ranitadine

Daisy is on carobel and variflows with no bother.

Hows Roman doing? ;)

William is on Ranitidine and Carobel aswell... reflux is so common it's a pity they cant do more for it, so many babies have it

He's fine thanks sunshine :)
i know it is a shame none of my other 2 had reflux its a nightmare x
