We have the beaba babycook. Following the instructions, which say to use the level 3 to steam carrots and such, I steamed some carrots- but when I tried to puree it, it clearly wasn't cooked through well enough- it more "crumbled" rather than smoothly pureeing. After looking up instructions- I think it's just not steaming all the way through.

I'm cutting them small enough. They're baby carrots that I cut into pieces. I don't overfill it.

Does anyone have any experience with this machine and advice on how to fully steam carrots with it?

Hmmmm tricky, we switched to this one from a Philips Avent after it (the Philips) packed up after only 3 months of use.

I never had problems blending with it - but carrot doesn't puree completely smooth - try adding a little bit more boiled water and make sure the lid is properly 'clicked' shut when the steam cycle is going on - that did for me often!

I did love the Beaba though
