I was holding my cat and she got scared when someone walked in and jumped off of me, scratching my stomach on the side where LO keeps her legs... its bleeding slightly but no bruising - is this dangerous for the baby? My cat does not and has never been outdoors.

Just make sure you put some antisceptic cream on it; shouldnt be anything to worry about

Im sure you will be fine hun, my kitty plays rough and I always get scratched :) x

No I wouldn't worry, bubs is well protected in there!

I have 4 one year old kittens who shred my hands on a daily basis, as long as you clean the scratch and put some cream on they will be fine!

My cat scratched me a few weeks ago and it went all raised and puffy I panicked and went to the doctor who basically laughed at me :( and told me to apply savlon and i'd be fine! :flow:

My cat has accidentally scratche my stomach a few times. I notice that they scar a bit worse than normal and it can look quite raw for a while. I put tea tree lotion on them so they didn't get infected but they do heal - just look a bit raw and manky for a while! Baby will be fine - as some others have said, babies are well protected in there. :flower:

Just watch for ring worm! You never know. Keep it clean and don't stress on it :)

I still have a vertical scratch on my tummy that is healing. I have to keep reminding myself it's not a stretch mark, :haha:

It happened to me recently i used savlon it healed in a couple of days x

My dogs had a scuffle over food the other day and I went to break it up and got a bite on my hand...and the one that bit eats poo  Me and baby are ok though

Last week one of my cats tried to hop up while I was on my birth ball watching telly. She tried to hang on to my jumper, got stuck, and I have a lovely wee collection of 4 paw shaped scratches right in the centre of my bump! Just keep it clean and stick on savlon or something. There's plenty of protection between your baby and the outer layer of skin.

Don't worry!
