Hi All,

Hope you are all having a pleasant healthy pregnancy!:hugs:

can you please advise on the below:

I have been testing positive on early pregnancy tests since 5th. Had last AF after chemical pregnancy on 18th of may. When is it worth getting a ultrasound? i definitely want one at 7/8 weeks for heartbeat, but is it worth getting one at any earlier point?

I am concerned about dates. usually AF is about 28 days. I have been testing positive 18 days into cycle, and had spotting before that. is that normal? did i ovulate early? I am worried its a sign of something wrong....

I am truly delighted to be pregnant again, but since I had MMC want to be know how things are going as much as possible.

it really couldnt heart to ask...somewhere around 4-5 weeks wud b good!

To be honest, an early ultrasound will NOT guarantee a healthy baby.

When I found out I was pregnant again, I asked my doctor for an early scan. He didn't want to refer me, as he said that even if we had an amazing ultrasound, with heartbeat, 10 minutes after I walked out the door, the baby could still die. Just because you see something one minute, doesn't mean it'll be there the next.

The best thing to do is to "relax" (ha!) until the "normal" 12 week scan and to only go for an early scan if you have an emergency such as bleeding and/or cramping.

H&H 9 months!

Thanks to you both!

I think the real reason I'm thinking of an early scan is when I'd a MMC I spent 5 weeks thinking i was pregnant when i wasn't anymore-ended at 7 weeks. think i will still get the early scan, but no more than one extra at 8 weeks. It may even help me "relax" lol! Know exactly what you mean blue eyed girl-a heartbeat does not mean a guarantee. but heres hoping this time i've a fighter!

I wish you nothing but the best and lots of luck that we both have healthy, sticky babies!

Thanks and right back at you! Definitely true that nothing worth having comes easy. :)

in same boat and wish everyone a healthy and happy 9 months. After a loss it is next to impossible to relax. I know I am on edge. I do relax but the worries come later especially night time.

Its great to know we are not alone!:flower: Angel 17, best of luck with everything-how are you feeling? are you far along? do you have symptoms?
