So I'm new to this site and I'm curious if there are any stories of moms or moms-to-be with experience of dealing with ccam showing up in the baby during an ultrasound? We found out at 18 weeks scarlett has a ccam in her lung and the mass is pushing her heart over to the other side of the body. now being a high risk pregnancy, I go in weekly for ultrasounds to check if any signs of heart failure are there. one of the signs would be her developing fluid around her heart or lungs. today I went in for my weekly ultrasound and to the doc, she "had to squint and its hard to tell but it looked like" a tiny amount of fluid had developed in the stomach area. (I am 26 weeks) i'm obviously pretty worried. if it IS in fact "fluid" and it continues to grow, the next step would be taking steroids to help reduce the size of the mass. the reason they put that off is because it has "side effects." has anyone here gone through actually taking the steroids? what were the side effects? did it help? any stories or info would be appreciated.
