Hello everyone.

Well to start off I have two little angels above. The first I lost at 19 weeks due to cervical incompetence and because it was just way too late (I was fully dilated and he was born within a few hours. Lived an amazing two hours and twenty minutes before he passed). I got the cerclage put in for my second pregnancy at around 15 weeks and all was well until 18 weeks when the doctors found the baby had other multiple health issues. With all those issues and a car accident on top of that, my second was born asleep at 30 weeks. We are now stationed in Germany and want to ttc but was wondering if anyone with CI has experienced a pregnancy here.

Sorry I can't help but didn't want to read and run. I have IC also. I thought healthcare was good in Germany. Do u want elective stitch or close monitoring?

Hello jadey_fae,
I'm pretty sure I would rather have the stitch than be monitored because of how suddenly I lost my first (I had literally been to the doctor a week before I lost him and everything was normal. By the next week I was fully dilated and going to have him).

I am sorry for your losses. It's horrid but they tend to take a wait and see approach, which is what they did with me. They would rather put an emergency one in later on even though the risks are higher?? I think given your history you should have no problem getting a stitch. Have u looked online at the healthcare system over there?

I have tried looking into it but I'm not really sure how to go about it because we are military and we aren't really citizens here. We're just stationed here so I'm not sure if it would all still apply the same with me or if it would be different. The research I have found did say that they have done stitches here before (which I figured they had) but like you mentioned I don't want to be put in the position where they'll just want to watch and wait and see. I really don't see any reason to do that considering my first pregnancy consisted of a completely healthy pregnancy and baby and next thing I knew I was going to have him.
