Cervical polyps

Hi there, I am 8+5 weeks and since 4 weeks I have had bleeding and spotting on and off throughout this pregnancy. The doctor did an internal exam at 5 weeks and said she thought she saw a polyp which could be causing the bleeding. She put me on pelvic and bed rest. It is so scary to go to the restroom and see blood whether brown or red. Has anyone had any positive experiences with cervical polyps and gone on to have a successful pregnancy? The doc says I call her too much saying I have spotting and I am so concerned to go to the E.R.
Anyways, just wanted some positive stories.

Hi, how are you doing now in your pregnancy? Just remember to stay relaxed and have bed rest too.

I too had a cevical polyp back when I was pregnant. It caused me spotting too and I went to the E.R. out of fear. But it detached a after a week or so. It detached the day before my OB ever got the chance to remove it. After it detached, the bleeding got worse!! And I called my OB right away, but she told me to just continue w/ my meds and go for bedrest. After a few days, bleeding stopped and never came back again. AS long as cervix is closed, then there is no need for deeper concerns.

Have you talked to your OB about having it removed if ever it does not detached spontaneously?
