My son was 9 days early, and I ended up having a csection. When my water broke I went to the hospital and they immediately put me on pitocin because I wasn't contracting. 12 hours went by with an increase of pitocin and I wasn't dilating at all. Every time I stood up my sons heart rate would drop. After the surgery I was told his cord was wrapped around his neck and that's why I wasn't dilating. Well I got pregnant 6 months pp and the healing of my scar went well and I haven't had any complications from it. I'm just curious if I have a good chance at a VBAC since my csection was due to a wrapped cord. This time around I will be waiting to go to the hospital until I'm having good contractions so they don't try to force medical intervention on me again. I'm so hoping for a VBAC!! Any advice or thoughts?

you should have a good chance of a VBAC. I found out I pregnant again 4 months after my section, my consultant has given me a 74% chance of a successful VBAC.
I am due on my son's first birthday.
I know it's different every but going on what I have been told you should have a good chance as your scar has had a little longer to heal.

Your chance of vbac is about 75% (which is the same as for a first time Mum having a vaginal birth). I had a vbac in May. Good luck x

Also see if you can look up your hospital's VBAC rate. My OB is telling me that it's totally up to me if I want a VBAC but the hospital's VBAC rate is under 40%. The stat doesn't list what were elective second sections or what were emergency sections though.

I was given a 50/50 chance due to being overweight and having an 8lb baby (i'm 5'1'' tall). They said if I gained less (or gained healthy) then the chance went up, as it did if I also had a smaller baby. I had a successful vbac in July
