I know no one can really answer this, but I can't help but wonder. I had Coralie by planned c-section to due to a few problems; she was breech, I had polyhydramnios and she was a large baby (estimated at 9 lbs 11 ozs)... My Doctor has said he'll refer me to a consultant and he thinks they'll push for a VBAC but after speaking to DH's Auntie who's a midwife she said i'll no doubt end up with another section due to me having big babies and a prev section  Idk what to think now

I'm really hoping for a VBAC, I guess I just want some reassurance that this *might* be an option?

If you want a VBAC they will endeavour to do that. They will probably put you down for a VBAC and then monitor your pregnancy and see if your bubba is breech/big towards the end.

Where are you having baby? I'm southampton and going to princess Anne. They are pro vbac. I had emcs and trying for vbac this time. Best thing to do it talk to a doctor about the pros and Cons of both. They look at your reasons for the first section. Breech is a good condition for vbac. And no reason why you can't vbac with a bigger baby. Good lucj x

Thank you :hugs:

I'm going to winchester. I think I'm getting a consult appt but my doctor did seem to think they'd be pro VBAC. I'm really hoping so. I think I'm trying to mentally prepare for the worst though, iykwim?

I've heard good things about winchester. I had a consultant appointment around 22-23 weeks. They looked through my notes from last time and said yep no probs and referred me back to midwives. I still can't imagine having a vbac. Preparring for the worse

I also had c-section for big baby (10lbs 6oz). He was also transverse.

Should be having a VBAC in next few weeks, so will let you know if it happens!

I was also worried about ending up with a c-section as my last baby was so big and it seems to run in the family with lots of other big babies too. At just over 37 weeks though it seems this baby is in the right position and fingers crossed a bit smaller!

I had my consultant appointment this morning at Frimley and they really push VBAC, so you will be fine hunny!

I was terrified to attempt a vbac so i decided on an elective c-section second time round... our eldest was born 6 days over due weighing 9lbs 6oz and our son was born 2 weeks early weighing 8lbs 3oz xx
