changing bank details with all benefits

I need to change the account my benefits get paid into, tax credits, child benefit and housing, just wondering if anyone has done it, hhw long did it take to change over? will the payments go into my old account for a while? thanks in advance

depends on how long it is until your next payment. when i changed mine over it took about 2weeks but i did have to monitor my other account and double check as the confirmations didn't arrive until after the payments.

Mine was done very quickly, Phoned child benefit and they told the tax credit people for me, you need at least 14 days before the next payment is due, Don't know about housing benefit sorry
