Changing formula/weight gain

Charlotte is 9wks and on Hungry baby food but the past 2wks or so she has not been taking her 4oz bottles like she used to, she is now taking 2oz every 3-4hrs sometimes goes 5hrs and will take 3oz, she will still sleep through the night though. The few times she has taken 4oz she projectile vomits the whole lot, but my worry is that she is getting no where near the recomended amount.

At birth she was 7lb 14oz
Left hospital 7lb 6oz
at 7wks was 8lb 140z

So thats like 1lb 8oz gain in 7wks, HV wasnt worried and said to keep at what I was doing but im not sure.....

Its like the hungry formula is satisfying her too much iykwim, should I move her back onto stage 1 formula?

She is going for her jabs today so I will ask there, just wanted to see what you ladies thought.

it doesnt sound like a lot for her age...but those guidelines are just that..if shes satisfied and producing wet nappies regularly she wont dehydate...i would keep an eye on her weight for the next couple of weeks...if she shows signs of droping in her weight gain id put her back on stage 1..they do say hugrier baby milk doesnt suit all babies

a health visitor told me that the hungry baby milk is thicker hun and therefore harder for them to get out of the bottle. If the bottles are still on the first teets you might need to move on to the second stage teets. This is what i did with my little girl and it worked?

Yes put her back on stage 1. Hungry baby formula should only be used if your baby is a decent weight, putting on decent amounts each week and draining their bottles but still being hungry quite soon after a feed.

I had already changed her to stage 2 teats a few weeks ago so I did change her back to stage 1 and shes now taking 5oz bottles nearly all of the time the now!

I tell you what this second baby thing is alot harder, I question myself sooo much. Olivia was having 6 oz bottles every 2-3 hrs with stage 1 and polishing them off, we moved her to stage 2 aptamil and she's having 4 oz every 3 hrs. She's putting on weight steadily weighing 10lb 4oz at 6 weeks, birth weight 7lb 3oz.

HOwever she has been a real grouch since we changed milks and we've now changed her to heinz formally farleys hungry baby milk in the hope this agrees with her. I've also just brought some variflo teats for our cln bottles.

I do think it must be satisfying her a bit more as she's having less but not much different on times, so I think it's what she needs. Otherwise we might be one of those babies it just doesn't suit, my son thrived on stage two sma when he was a baby, but we'll see how little Olivia goes.
