Changing from breast to formula need help :(

Bub is 4.5 weeks old and we are having to change to formula, the first few feeds have just been top ups but after the last feed he seemed to be in a lot of pain then power spewed everywhere is this normal while his body adjusts? He's only had around 5 bottles the last few days and this is the first time he's done that. I feel terrible like its my fault for giving him formula and upsetting him

Did he vomit the full feed? Or just he just eat too much and bring up the excess?

There is reflux where they tend to bring up full feeds and are in pain or just posseting where they just take in a little too much for their small tummies.

Try winding part way through feeds as well as afterwards.

There are other allergies but all babies vomit - I wouldn't worry unduly from one time. Just keep an eye on it if it happens again.

i agree with pp - if you're trying to give hime too much formula he will spit up what his stomach can't take in. Definitely break up the feeds by winding - this will make him more comfortable and give him chance to realise he's full and doesn't want to keep drinking.
