Hi Ladies

So I started charting for the first time this cycle (2nd cycle after coming off of BC). I am also doing OPK.

I have seen that some charts have a dip in temperature and then a steady rise. My question is, does the dip indicate the day that ovulation happened?

As some charts do not have the dip but does have the steady rise in temperature. So if you didn't get the temperature dip, but did get the rise, does that mean that the day prior to the rise if your ovulation day?

It seems like Fertility Friend marks the ovulation day as the day of the dip, so I would assume that if there is no dip then it is the day before the rise.

Not everyone experiences the dip but that is the most obvious sign of ovulation. If you don't have a dip, ovulation most likely occurred the day before the rise in temperature. This is only my second cycle charting but both months I've had a pretty substantial dip before the rise.

So last month (green) I ovulated on CD13 or 15. FertilityFriend believes it was CD15, however, I'm wondering if I ovulated twice (once from each ovary) and that's why I have two dips. Since twins are very common in my family, I think it could be possible.

This month (purple), I probably ovulated on CD13.
