you'd never believe it... SIL has only went and bought a dress for our wedding that matches the bridesmaids dresses!

She needn't think she's making any of it about her, it's our day not hers and sghe'll get shot down if she tries :nope:

I think you sould get some one to "trip" and spill red wine over her dress.

I dont know what your relationship is like with her but am guessing not the best.....If it were me Id say to her that I wasnt sure if she knew the dress matched and I would rather she wore something else.

Cant believe she haa done that xxx

i can't believe she's done this, i take it on purpose? i agree with pops, definitely speak to her! :hugs: xxx

It's burgundy. No point speaking to her, she's too stupid and selfish TBH.

Relationship isn't great between me and her TBH, we keep the peace, shall we say...ok, I'll rephrase that - I keep the peace...

Of course it was deliberate - 2 of her daughters are bridesmaids! LOL

She needn't bother even TRYING to make any of it about her, I'll shoot the bitch down and if I don't do it, there's plenty who would! LOL

I'd just ignore the dress and her attempts then! Rise above it, but also make it known (during the speeches just how lovely the bridesmaids are....and then name them and the ushers etc....)

Everybody knows that your the bride, so to hell with her attention seeking!:hugs:

Wow sounds pretty childish of her. I agree with LisaLovesBean I would definately make it a point in your speeches to recognize all the bridesmaids and ushers.

yeh I think so, I mean there's only our close family going to the restaurant anyway, but hopefully she'd gonna look like a right pratt and I'll laugh at the silly tart.

She's 42 FFS, not 10!

i would tell her straight up that she is not allowed to wear the dress. It's your day and people should do what you wish them to do. She's already had her day (i'm assuming she's married) and she should let you have yours. If she does wear it, I would have another dress for her on hand and make her change or kick her out and have someone drop off her kids after the wedding.

I don't want to sound like a bitch, but I feel very strongly about weddings. It should be about the bride and groom only!! And anyone who's looking to steal the lime light should be shot down and/or taken out of the picture.

42!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol.........

and wants to be a pretend bridesmaid? hmmmm......laughable!

I'm 36 btw, so Im not ageist, just amused by the immaturity!

yep, 42 and wants to pretend to be a bridesmaid! I'd loan her a dress of mine (we're about the same size) but TBH I don't have any that a) aren't black or burgundy or b) am happy for her to ruin (she puts everything in the dryer - even satin and wool, so obviously it's ruined!)

I think OH is gonna say something in the speeches if she does wear it though, something like "and xxxxxx had to camaflauge herself as a bridesmaid!" It would be funny and hit harder coming from him than me! If I said it, it would be accompanied with a bitch slap

 nice!! that would be hilarious to just embarrass the crap out of her.

yep, he's wonderful my OH is, and knows just how to make people go beetroot out of shame hehehehe

ah I'm sooo tempted, but with her daughters being bridesmaids, she'd ask where the dresses are!

Seriously, I can't believe that she'd stoop so low! She'd wear her wedding dress if she could still fit in it!

wow... what a witch. This is why our wedding is going to be super far away from OH's crazy family!!
