Child a first passport on hold?!

So I sent ds passport form off two weeks ago. Rang them today to see where it is, its on "hold" becausd they need to confirm something from the countersign who signed it, and some more info from me?! I did check and send from po, they said they normally do raandom checks? But dds only toke a week to come back. We go away in 30 days! Im wprried

maybe leave i over the weekend and call back monday? ask them what further information they require and the quickest way to get it to them (if its a document etc)

They said theyv sent a letter to me amd the lad thats signed it, but theyve sent it to hid work address :.(

If you've stated in the info that you sent that you are going away soon they are normally pretty good about getting it back to you.
