Title says it all really, I qualify for a small amount of Child Tax Credit and was hoping this would help me get help with fees so I could go back to college.

But the only information I can find talks about Working Tax Credit so now I'm not sure. There is a bit that says Other Benefits but it doesn't explain what they are so I'm none the wiser.

Has anyone else been in this position and was the Child Tax Credit taken into account or not?

Its only working tax credits that can get you reduced / no fees for college (been at college for past 3 years and i looked into it). Have you tried ILA? If you do certain courses part time they can pay up to £500 of your fees each year of study. Im just finishing my HNC in childcare that ive done part time over 2 years and they paid all my fees both years.

Thanks. I've never heard of ILA. That would cover the first year's fees but then even part time the fees are more than £1000 per year. I want to get qualifications in counselling, hopefully to specialise as a grief counseller.

Can you tell me what ILA is so I can look into it because at least it would help.
