Hello,

So im a little confused

here are the stats.

Me,

24 hour week £8698 per year before tax

OH,

40 hour week £22500 per year before tax

Childcare is looking to be around £106 week (averaged over the year)

When I put a these figures in entitled too website it says

Working tax credit £0

Child tax credit £83 per week.

So does that mean i am receiving help for the childcare (thats what im assuming) ill use that £83 and top it up to £106 with our wage.

I keep reading though that Childcare element is part of the Working tax credit part .. but thats £0

Im really confused.

Any ideas? Like im happy for the £83 per week to me thats perfect but im worried it could be taken away if they make any changes as its a CTC not a WTC

xx

I think thats what it means. I just got my letter through for adding on child care (it has lots of mistakes though!) but it has the childcare costs under the childcare element of working tax credits.

We get ctc even tho only one of us works so there is no held care costs so i done know if child care comes ctc.
