Chilled Overnight Sperm Success?

Hi all,

My wife and I have been looking all over for moms who had success using a known donor who shipped fresh, chilled samples in an insulated container overnight.

After two unsuccessful and major debt causing IUIs, we have tried one cycle of the DIY method above. Wife's cycle was a little longer last month so our timing was a bit off. Will be trying again this week. We've just been curious if anyone has had success with this method, as opposed to fresh donation or frozen.

I realize this is months old, but replying in case anyone else searches for this. No, unfortunately shipping does not have a great success rate. It works best for people who have a long LH surge and with experienced shipping donors (with documented shipping success) who tend to have sperm that survives the trip better and are more experienced with getting the shipping timing just right. For most donors, shipping is unlikely to be successful.

Have you considered traveling to your donor or having your donor travel to you?
