This year we have guests to entertain for Christmas, I have my Christmas dinner sorted & what Im doing for xmas dinner but was wondering what I should do for nibbles... As like a supper or something Or just on offer through out the day in general.

Was thinking about perhaps getting some of those mini yorkshire puds filled with beef from M&S and geting a few bits from there and perhaps doing a ham joint the day before so I can offer cold meat later on.

any ideas are welcome home made or shop bought

We usually have xmas dinner around 2/3pm and then in the evening we have cold turkey sandwiches or cheese and crackers with pate and pickles etc, I like to have alot of crackers in the house aswell as cheeses over xmas, we also have all the choccies out and usually some cake, yummy, I cant wait

How about those buffet selection things that Iceland do?

Yum the yorkshire puds sound good!

What about Sausage Rolls? I saw some Brie and cranberry bites in Sainsbury earlier that looked nice.

I'm sort of in the same situation this year, we've decided to stay at home and have said that family are welcome to visit (last year we spent xmas driving around trying to please everyone else).

Although this will be the first xmas that it will be up to me to cook the dinner and nibbles etc and I'm short of ideas

O and our cooker broke last week, so at the moment we haven't even got a cooker :dohh:

Hope it all goes well

Oh god, I hope you manage to get it fixed before xmas. Have you got a date for somebody to come out & fix it. What a night mare.

This is the first year that i'll be doing dinner too, Now although I used to always visit family for Christmas dinner etc and we too used to drive round to please everybody we usually ended up that stuffed from each persons house we nver ate anything on a night.

Any ways I stole a morrisons Mag from my mam and ive had a look through that and they had some quite good ideas. I think its goning to be a case of trail and error this year

Hopefully the oven will be fixed by the end of the week!
