how on earth do you afford so many presents for everyone?

i only just woke up and realised i should get some presents but the best i can do is some body cream and candles for mil, aunt, mum and a few cheap toys for ari. and probarly nothing for DH :nope:

I start early. I began buying Christmas presents in August! I always do it early and then I manage it.

i am too late... and i hate not giving someone something as soon as i have it. and then its just too late to get enough things! gaaaah

ebay and b&m bargains are fab for bargains.

V xxx

I buy after DS birthday in August. We dont spend tedious amounts on family, Parents, grandparents get framed pic of kids and some wine/chocs.

Kids I do careful planning so I buy stuff I know they will definitely play with.

We are ok this year as we had a big payout but all the other years I have brought a bit each week xx

I put money aside each month throughout the year and also start shopping early. I managed to get LO some fab toys in the sales at the end of August.

I don't spend more than 100 euro on everybody together normally.

i start early and get things on the sales after xmas and put them away, this year ive been lucky had a big pay out from tax credits so used that xx

We save all year round for Xmas presents and even then only have a small budget (I have a huge family) so I'm making gingerbread (putting it in mugs and wrapping them in cellphane) for the adults and sock monkeys for the tots.

I always start getting the kids stuff in around the end of August, this year I had all their stuff in by the end of stepember. Now all I have to do is go get their christmas clothes on monday and thats us done thank god x

I wish I had a B&M near me some people on here have said its great! Our nearest is in Hertfordshire and is over an hour away!

I used to panic in December bc i had no more paychecks coming & xmas was right around the corner! The past few years i have started buying & stashing away gifts starting in July! Works out much better... i buy a little at a time... much easier on the pocketbook. Plus i buy when i see things on sale. I also stopped exchanging with friends after i had my son. Just close family, OH (which we limited to only $30 this year), and then i get to spoil my son rotten! Luckily he's an only child so he gets all the gifts! If he had a sibling, i would still have the same spending budget so he would only get half as many gifts!

Your LO will be happy with whatever is under the tree!

we put money into a savings scheme each month
and start quite early otherwise we wouldn't be able
to afford much either :flower:

i start shopping after morgan's birthday in july and pick things up as i have the money which helps spread the cost x

It shouldn't matter what you get everybody you love..it's the thought that counts !

Whilst the kids are so young I pick up bargains as I see them throughout the year but i know this wont last and soon enough i'll be getting given lists of wants instead!

I start in June , just putting bits back , by december ill have lots! Always done this , and to be honest i havnt felt the pinch ever doing xmas since i spread out .. oh and i only ever buy if its on offer! So ive saved loads too :)

Maybe next year try that!? May work for you :)
