Hiya folks well that festive time is approaching and Ella will be 6 months at christmas but she's still the size of a newborn and a lot of the toys suitable for her age are tooooo big. For example we've got her a jumperoo but she has pillows under her feet coz she can't reach the floor and her hands are so small she cant hold a lot of the toys. Any ideas what we could get her that she'd be able to enjoy xx

Not sure about present suggestions. Gaby was still not into toys at 6 months, just liked to lie on her play mat. Now she is into anything that when she touches it something happens, music or lights esp.

Is Ella nearly touching the floor in her jumperoo? Think it was about a month ago that Gaby managed to touch the floor and now she LOVES hers! Will spend ages in it and boy can she make it go!

My lo has always loved the Lamaze toys. The vtech crawl and learn ball is good as well. Lights up, plays music and moves about encouraging your lo to move to get it. Holly is 6 months corrected now and only in 0-3 month clothes. We got her the vtech walker as you can take the front panel off and sit with them and play on it so it's a toy that will last many months.

Thanks ladies. Ellas about 6 inches from the floor, or a pillows height she bounces round like crazy with the pillow under her feet absolutely loves it. Mum wanted to get her a walker but i dont think she'll be tall enough for it. Think ill have to look into the ball things but again its just whether theyve got bits small enough for her to grab at

anything that lights up - the vtech penguin is good

Realised a baby walker can be 2 things. The vtech baby walker is one for them to push along when they are at that stage.

Holly wouldn't be big enough for a walker either.

Andrew was four months actual (1m corrected) last Christmas, and is only now playing with some of the toys we bought him! I've just been hunting online for a link to his favourite but can't find it - it came from Kiddicare and it's a ball/rattle with quite narrow wriggly tube bits for gripping, he liked the fact that he could hold it without struggling. His other favourite toy in early times was his Sophie la giraffe :D
