Does anyone take their un-carved turkey to the table like they do on the adverts or do it before you serve up?! Seems like you'll spend more time cutting it up than eating your own dinner!

Silly question ha!!!

Haha we don't have a turkey these days but it used to be carved first!! Just like we carve a chicken before it goes on the table, or gammon/beef etc. Xx

We always go to family's houses for Christmas but the turkey is always carved and on the plates ready, it's never done at the table :)

My dad usually carves a bit, then takes it to the table and carves the rest. But doesn't let it rest for 10 minutes like you normally would, that time is given to carving.

Carved in the kitchen along with the pork and beef then they are set on a serving plate so we can have as much or little as we want :flower:

I'm thinking the advertisers are all just lying then!!
Looks nice on the table but how unpracticle!!!!

I quarter our turkey and stand it all back together, then slice a little off the breast and leave it on the platter then take it to the table to serve. Everyone gets the piece they want or as much breast meat as they want and I'm not stood carving ha ha. :)
