I like Ciara, OH likes Keira.. her middle name is Louise and surname Dey.

:)

Is it the same name, just different spellings? My friends LO is called Chiara, as in the lion of the Lion King. I like Keira best i think though x

I think Ciara is really pretty :)

Are they pronounced see-are-a and keer-a or the same name but different spellings? Personally prefer Keira x

It will be pronounced Kee-ra. We just like different spellings. It is the only name we have both properly agreed on lol x

I like Keira best. Ciara will be pronnounced either See-ar-a or Kee-ar-a (<---my friend has a baby named that) so you'll be constantly correcting people with that one if you are planning to pronnounce it Kee-ra either way . They are both lovely though xxx

keira ... i think the first one looks spelt wrong :S ... might just be me tho! took me about a year on here to realise that Rhys was Reece :P lol even tho u spell it Rhys i had never seen it wrote down ... lmao :P i thought all these peoples kids were called Rice! .... ooo the shame :/

Well i love the name Ciara, but pronounced like the perfume that used to be out (Like Sierra Mist soda).

I have the name Kiara on the top of my list (pronounced Key-are-uh), also spelled Chiara.

I think if you want it pronounced "Keer-ah" -- you should spell it either Kira or Keira

Wow! Lots of different spellings/pronounciations! I have also seen Kiera/Kierra -- which is "key-air-uh"

I agree that Ciara will not be pronounced how you wish, and even if it was I would go with Kiera personally.:flower:

haha funny, im calling bub Kiara (pronounced ciara) louise if its a girl.......been wanting that since i was little haha good taste love!!

Ciara is an Irish name so I suppose it depends on whether you want the correct spelling. I personally would go with Ciara but then I would as I'm Irish! Ciara is pronounced keerah, or it should be. I've named my daughter Aisling and we're constantly correcting the pronunciation of it in the UK but it's worth it for me so that she has the correctly spelled Irish name.
