Looking for some inspiration please! I'm after a classic, strong name for a girl that isn't used much these days. I like -a endings but don't necessarily need one and I like names of Greek or Roman origin. I just can't think of anything pretty that fits these criteria but is still a little unusual. Any suggestions gratefully received! :flower:

Elizabeth, Eliza, Ophelia, Athina are there any names you are liking so i know your taste?

I'm a tough nut to crack I think. I like Elizabeth a lot but would like something less commonly used. I love both Ophelia and Athena but they're a bit too unusual for my taste. It's very hard to please me.
I've always loved Sophia but it's so common now and we can't use it anyway. I like Nova, but that's a bit of a wild card.

I wanted Sophia but dh just wouldn't budge on it :( but i love the name he chose for our little girl, Isobel.

Ada is on our list. Elizabeth is a definite as a middle name as our daughter has picked it.

Agatha, that seems a strong name with the -a ending:)

Georgia came to my mind immediately. Also Martha and Thea. X

Cleo
Cressida
Guinevere
Alina
Eilidh
Yelina
Cassia
Flavia
Livia
Florentina

I have a Freya :flower: We get a lot of compliments on her name.

I also like:
Elizabeth
Charlotte
Juliette
Elise
Alisa
Isla

melissa? It's greek for honey bee. Has many variations like Alissa.

Ophelia
Amelia
Clara
Alba
Cleo
Dulcie
Julia
Luna
Martha

Libby

My step daughters name is Audrie. You can spell it Audrey also. I've always loved her name.

Oh, I love Audrey! Must mention it to DH. We usually have a hard time agreeing. :haha:

I love the name Elsa but having older children, it's an absolute impossibility. It was actually on our list for our first, 5.5 years ago. But since Frozen happened (and the sequel is due to land soon), I don't think I could cope with it now.

It is hard because classic and unusual together is a tough combination!

Classic with a twist:
Clara
Eleanora
Audrienne

Strong:
Delany
Hadley
Sutton

Mythology Connection:
Aurora (Roman)
Avalon (Celtic)
Calisto/a (Greek)
Danae/Denae (Greek)
Deianeira (Greek)
Freya (Norse)
Maia (Greek)
Selene (Greek)
Thea (Greek-ish)
